Detailed introduction

● Uses and Key Features

Widely used in drive systems for various drum brakes and disc brakes, it can also be applied to the actuation control of diverse industrial valves, gates, as well as directional oscillating and rotary (less than 90°) mechanisms and clamping devices.

Manufactured using technology from the former West German company EMG. Complies with DIN15430 and JB/T10603-2006.

Aluminum alloy casing, fully sealed single-piston rod design, aesthetically pleasing appearance, lightweight, and featuring safe and reliable performance.

The motor features a non-oil-immersed design with Class F insulation, offering excellent heat resistance and a long service life.

The motor junction box features excellent sealing and uses cable glands for cable entry, ensuring a high level of protection.

The motor shaft and push rod both undergo special surface treatments, significantly extending the lifespan of the seals.

The transmission components all feature a double-seal design, ensuring excellent sealing performance and reliable operation.

The cylinder housing features a balance air chamber on one side, allowing for installation and use within a 0–180° range; the connecting rod can rotate 360°.

The following additional functions can be achieved by adding a booster attachment:

Limit switch for upward movement: Indicates whether the actuator rod has been raised to the specified position. (Whether the brake is engaged)

Limit switch for descent: Indicates whether the actuator rod has returned to the specified position. (Whether the brake is engaged)

Rising or Falling Valve: Allows for stepless extension of the rising or falling time, with the maximum adjustable value being 10 to 20 times the rated value. For actuators equipped with a valve, when the valve is fully open, the rising and falling times will be slightly extended—by approximately 1 to 2 seconds for short strokes, and about 2 to 4 seconds for long strokes.

Brake spring: Generates tensile force in the short-stroke actuator, primarily replacing the brake spring on the brake bracket to produce braking force. In the main technical parameter table, "brake spring force" refers to the spring force when the actuator is at one-third of its upward stroke (or two-thirds of its downward stroke).

Reset spring: Its working principle is the same as that of the brake spring, but the spring force is lower. Its primary function is to return the pusher piston and its external components to their original positions. The reset spring force can also be determined by the user, provided it does not exceed the brake spring force.

Buffer spring: It is installed on the piston rod of the short-stroke actuator in place of the connecting rod, without altering the actuator's stroke. Its primary function is to regulate the braking process, cushioning the aperiodic transient phase of brake engagement and ensuring smooth, stable braking. (Note: Actuators fitted with buffer springs cannot accommodate limit switches and must be used exclusively with brake springs.)

Heater: When the ambient temperature drops below -20°C, a heater can be installed according to user requirements. Heater voltage: AC110V or AC220V; heater power ratings are shown in the table below. The method for temperature control and adjustment is chosen by the user.
